Nippon Steel buys US Steel for 14.9b

White House approved Nippon Steel’s Bid for 14.9 billion, the same price they offered in 2023. Nippon would put several plants to make US steel competitive in global market. From Canadian perspective this deal is a bad news for Canadian Steel that will loose it’s largest buyer. About half of Canadian production goes to US, over 50b worth.
