Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, said that she is keen to develop liquefied natural gas (LNG) for export purposes. The comment came after some European countries approached Canada to do so for energy security. Russia supplies natural gas to Europe, that is on halt and hurting the economy. Before the winter hits, there must be a solution to the problem otherwise there would be serious shortage of gas to heat home in Europe.
