On December 12, 2019, voters elected all 650 seats of the House of Commons. Boris Johnson’s Conservatives won their first sizable majority in decades, taking dozens of seats from Labour. Lib Dem leader Jo Swinson resigned after losing her seat to the Scottish National Party, which gained 13 seats. The Brexit Party received 2 percent of the vote — and no seats.
