Det.-Sgt. Hank Idsinga told a news conference Monday that investigators were releasing the photo as a last resort after exhausting other methods of determining who he is, including canvassing contacts in the Church and Wellesley community. “I do not want to release this picture,” Idsinga said of the photo, which shows a man he described as “deceased.” “I’ve never done this. I do it with great hesitation.” Idsinga showed the photo during an update Monday morning on the ongoing investigation into McArthur, the 66-year-old former landscaper who is charged with six counts of first-degree murder in the disappearances of Andrew Kinsman, Selim Esen, Majeed Kayhan, Soroush Mahmudi, Dean Lisowick and Skandaraj “Skanda” Navaratnam.
